Friday Feedback – Make This Blog Better

Friday, January 9th, 2009

One simple question. Many great answers.

Make This Blog Better

My last post on writing shorter blog posts got me thinking: what else can I do to this blog to make it better for you, the reader.

So, for this week I want your advice on one thing I can do to make this blog better. Please write your answer down in the comments below.

I look forward to reading everyone’s suggestions!

Friday Feedback – New Year’s Resolutions

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Many people make them. Many people break them. The ever-popular New Year’s Resolutions.

Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions for 2009? Let us know in the poll below.

If you did make any 2009 resolutions, which ones did you make? Throw out a couple in the comments below.

Our way of saying thanks
Thanks for you feedback in the poll above. As a way of saying thanks, here is a funny video showing a new version of rock, paper scissors.

Our family is a huge fan of rock, paper, scissors. It has solved many difficult impasses between Michele and me. We may have to try the newest version.

Friday Feedback – Do You Use Google Alerts

Friday, December 26th, 2008

Google Alerts is an awesome service that keeps you posted on what is being said? We will be talking about Google Alerts in a post coming in the next couple of weeks.

In preparation for that post, I thought this would be a great question to ask everyone out there the “Triune Designs zone”: do you use Google Alerts?

Our way of saying thanks
As my way to thank you for your thoughts, here is an annoying, yet very catchy song. I hope you get a laugh out of it like I did. Thanks Dan (@djByron) for introducing this to me.

Do You Video Chat

Friday, December 19th, 2008

The huge amount of buzz surrounding TokBox (pronounced Talk Box) this week has generated this week’s poll. How often do you use video chat? Are you a power video chatter? Do you sometimes use it to talk with others? Are you in the category of “video what???” Let us know.

If you do video chat, even occasionally, I recommend checking out TokBox. I have used it multiple times this week and even in a video conference earlier today (courtesy of my buddy human3rror (John), who is an incredible blogger). Two great aspects are its lack of member requirements and high techy needs. Do you know someone who is not a member, but would like to participate? Invite them and they can join in the conversation as a guest. Does a potential video conference member not have video or audio? Let them join in also. All they need is an Internet connect, monitor and keyboard. No video or audio equipment is necessary. You will not see them, but the can still participate and see you.

Moving on to the poll:

We appreciate your vote. And as a way to thank you, here is a video I found that will help motivate you. I know I found it inspiring.

What Is Your Social Media?

Friday, December 12th, 2008

In one of next week’s blog posts, we are going to discuss how different social media suits different people. Come back next week to read more.

In honor of that upcoming post, I want to see what types of social media you use. Are you a hardcore blogger? Are you one of the cool kids hanging out in the Facebook community? Do you Twitter so much that you really do actually want to just tweet? Let us know in the poll below. And because it is the Christmas season, we are going to throw in an extra (gift) poll. Given all of the communities where you are a participant, what is your favorite social media medium?

I look forward to seeing your responses.

Where do you regularly participate?
